S1001 Integrated Systems Testing

Connected systems. Coordinated response.

MEP Engineering provides integrated systems testing of fire protection and life safety systems in accordance with the applicable edition of CAN/ULC-S1001. We assess how interconnected systems respond together during emergency scenarios, verifying their operation against the building's intended sequence of operations. Our services include test planning, coordination with project consultants and contractors, on-site testing, and reporting. Depending on the building's design, testing may address interfaces between fire alarms, sprinkler systems, elevator recall, smoke control, HVAC shutdown, door release, and emergency power.
